Great game! Love how you can combine the unsettling feeling with a bit of goofiness! Loved it!

Thanks! Was definitely going for unsettling and subtle humor. Appreciate the thoughts and video.

a nice business meeting

Thanks! It’s fun watching people from different countries and backgrounds play this. I appreciate the video.

I think you did a really good job for this to be your first game. I got spooked by the cardboard dude. And the corporate world dark humor was PERFECT. The atmosphere was SO unsettling. I will say the low turning radius my character had made turning a little difficult and the small hitbox to activate the button when I had to escape the robot, BUT I DID MAKE IT OUT, so it's not impossible, and it felt rewarding. Like really rewarding. The story was weird and didn't make sense when it was over, but I feel like that's the nuance of a lot of indie games, being weird and nonsensical. It doesn't need to make sense. Just have fun. Anyway, good job Geoff! I hope to see much more from you!

I appreciate the feedback. It’s all been really helpful in understanding what works and what doesn’t. Thanks for taking the time to play it and for letting me know what you think!

This one kept me on edge and guessing until the end. Fun short experience. Loved the posters.

Thanks! Glad you loved the posters. I had a lot of fun making those. There is a lot of source material to work with there.

Such a fun, creepy, and unsettling experience! The ending took me by surprise for sure. That cardboard cutout man was gonna give me a heart attack! I really look forward to more of your titles!

Thank you! It’s funny how a cardboard cut out can be scary. Who knew? Thanks for providing feedback and for making the video.

I know right?? Of all the things that I thought couldn't be scary haha. You're welcome!

Thanks for the video and feedback! It is greatly appreciated. Very helpful.

Was a really well made game! The cardboard dude spokoed me a lot and the little jokes about negative remarks at the beginning was done well! The whole atmosphere and everything was done well, and the little hidden things you put around was also really fun to find! Great little game to play!

Thanks! I appreciate the thorough feedback. Hope all is well!

Pretty nice little game. Solid atmosphere and flow through the game. And some humorous elements as well.

*spoiler* the cardboard cut-out surprised me pretty good a couple times. :)

Awesome job for a first game!

Thanks for the feedback and the video. It’s very helpful.

I didn't find it unsettling as most have said, but I understand how it can give off that feeling - the deeper meaning behind the environment you're taken, the way you're spoken to by the interviewer, the answers you're forced to give, and the nonsensical tasks you're assigned are all satirical of big, corporate companies that turn you into a yuppy. Nonetheless, considering most gamers have sensed the uneasiness that was intended, proving the mocking was effective, I would've preferred it to be darker and deeper. Still, I enjoyed the game; it's great as a standalone video or for a '3 Short Scary Games' compilation. Great job, Geoff!

The thumbnail I made was inspired by the ending as it reminded me of the robots seen on Terminator 3.

Thanks! I appreciate the thorough critique. There are definitely a lot of places you could take a concept like this. Especially darker places. I did though want to keep this fairly light hearted while trying out some subtle horror elements. Your feedback is very helpful.

Hey thanks for giving it a shot. I appreciate the feedback.

(+1)

The end took a few tries, but I enjoyed it overall! Check out my playthrough!

Thanks for the feedback and video. I appreciate it!

I like the concept. However the control sensitivity is way too low, I could barely click anything. I couldn't get passed the part with the robot bug thing because the screen was going at about 3 FPS. I had to give up because I couldn't continue.

Thanks for the feedback. I’ve noticed in a few of the videos low and choppy frame rates during that part. I’m curious what GPU and CPU you are using to play. Sorry about that. Glad you like the concept.

Interesting game. I did not really get the ending, but i would like to see more games from this developer.

Thanks for the video and feedback. I agree the ending can feel a bit off. It is a strange place to work.

MANO, O DESGRAÇADO ME FEZ ME CAGAR TODO KAKAKAKA

Thanks for the video and for playing!

This game is great :)

(+1)

Thanks I appreciate the feedback.

this was very interesting. i wish it has more jumpscares than the cheap jumpscare i got at the puzzle code part. a very good quality game. keep up the good work!

Thanks for the feedback and for playing. I’ve always been curious what qualifies as a cheap jump scare. I’ve heard some people say *every* jump scare is cheap. :) So I added a similar element but without the sounds and movement you typically see. It has gotten a lot of people.

This was deffinitly a interesting short horror game. I wish i got a little more in the end. Ironically i just had a job interview not to long ago. wish it was like this game, would of made things more interesting lol.

Thanks for the video and congrats on the new job!

This was such a great concept for a horror game! I loved the dark humor throughout, just felt like the ending felt a little out of place.

Thanks for the video and feedback. I appreciate it. I agree the ending is a bit odd. I tweaked the ending line a bit, in a recent version I uploaded, to make the story end in a marginally more logical way. There is definitely a lot more to do here. I wanted to get my first game concept out there. Quirks and all. I’m learning a ton from the process.

This game is quite nice! I am a youtuber from Malaysia! I hope the game can be publish soon ! This is the gameplay that i played hope you enjoy it!

Thanks! I appreciate it.

THE INTERVIEW HAS MADE IT INTO THE 8TH EDITION OF GAMES OF TERROR!

I REALLY LIKED THE SURREAL ATOMSPHERE OF THIS GAME WHICH MADE IT MORE SPOOKY SO FANTASTIC GAME AND GOOD WORK!

Thank you for the video and feedback. Hope all is well!

This was really interesting

It’s definitely not a place you want to work. Thanks for the video and feedback!

is this game ok for kids to play

(+1)

absolutely

(1 edit)

There isn’t any gore, blood, bad language, etc. It wasn’t meant to be very scary either. Consider it a simulation of interviewing at a weird company with a highly passive-aggressive employee.

very different game bruh enjoyed it

is this game ok for kids to pla

Thanks for playing! Appreciate the video and feedback.

Had a blast playing this game! Nice unique concept, and it was executed really well. Overall good job dev!

Thanks! I appreciate the video and the thoughts.

(+1)

The atmosphere is pretty good, but the game itself is not that scary, other than the ending which caught me off guard. Well done.

Thanks! I wanted to create something odd but not necessarily scary. Though the ending has accomplished that in most cases.

Freaky and funny nice job.

Thanks! You picked up on a lot of the little things which was fun to watch. Appreciate it.

This is a cool game to play for sure ! The posters lol, oh man ! Well made ! Please subscribe!  First game play.

Thanks! Glad you like the posters. I had a lot of fun making those.

Hey Geoff thanks again for making this game! You really nailed it with the motivational quotes in this and Erik, he such a terrible intern, I gotta take that out of my chest. I found the topic for this game really unique, having an interview is just as horrible as each of the jumpscares of my video, so well done portraying it here!

Thanks! I definitely wanted this to be different than a typical horror game. Interviewing can be scary in and of itself.

(+1)

Hey, Geoff, great first project! I think your gamedev work shows a ton of promise and the mood you captured is definitely a bit weird and creepy but mostly just amusing!

If you would like assets for your next project, or if anyone else here is doing creative gamedev stuff, you may want to take a moment to view this sale I am running:

https://itch.io/s/45319/93-off-sale-2000-assets-for-097

93% off a lot of game assets (97 cents for 2000+ asset files, as stated in the link) and there are some free ones available as well!

And I am welcoming suggestions for future (realistic looking but also efficiently built) assets added to these collections so if you need a 3d modeled item, Geoff... let me know, there is a good chance I will add it!

Thanks appreciate it. Will take a look.

Very good game! we had some fun with this!

Thanks! Was neat seeing you two play through it together. Glad you had fun.

Fun game but it wasn't really horror. It was fun and funny tho so I liked it!

(1 edit)

Glad to hear you found it humorous as that was one of the goals. Definitely wanted it to be different than the typical horror game. Thanks!

(+1)

GAME WAS FUN! Not gonna lie :)

Glad you had fun. I appreciate the feedback you provided in the video. Thanks!

anytime!

this is totally my ideal job!

Good to hear. Come back any time you want to interview again. Thanks for the video!

hey whats up familia my name is isak, i recently played your game. the game was really fun, the play style was a good combo of humor with an undertone of spooks. well made!. traversing thru the caves was probably the part that made me feel the most unease  as i felt something could jump at as any moment and the ending, that was a twist being attack by that thing... .keep up the great work!

Thanks for the video and feedback. I appreciate it and it’s very helpful.
